School Rules & Code of Conduct
At Jeewan Jyoti Public School (JJPS), Sondhi, we maintain a safe, disciplined, and respectful environment that fosters academic focus and personal integrity. Students are expected to adhere to the following rules and regulations at all times.
1. Attendance & Punctuality

Timings: Students must arrive at school at least 5 minutes before the morning assembly. Latecomers will be marked absent or sent home after repeated warnings.

Leave Applications: Prior written permission from parents/guardians via the school diary is mandatory for planned absences. In case of illness, a medical certificate must be submitted upon return.

Minimum Attendance: A minimum of 75% attendance during the academic year is required to appear for term examinations, in compliance with CBSE directives.
2. Uniform & Personal Hygiene

School Uniform: All students must wear the prescribed, clean, and properly ironed school uniform on all working days and official events.

Grooming:

Hair must be kept neat, well-groomed, and naturally styled (boys must maintain short hair; girls with long hair must tie it back securely).

Nails must be trimmed clean and free of polish.

Wearing jewelry, expensive accessories, or non-uniform attire is strictly prohibited.

3. Discipline & Campus Conduct

Respect & Courtesy: Courtesy and respectful behavior toward teachers, staff members, visitors, and fellow peers are non-negotiable.

Language: English is the primary medium of communication on campus to help students develop strong language proficiency.

School Property: Damaging, defacing, or vandalizing school property (desks, walls, library books, lab equipment) will result in strict disciplinary action and financial recovery from parents.

Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, electronic gadgets, sharp objects, and unauthorized cash or valuable items are strictly banned on school grounds. Confiscated items will only be returned to parents.
4. Academic Integrity & Examinations

Students must arrive prepared with necessary textbooks, stationery, and assignments daily.

Plagiarism, copying, or using unfair means during assessments, class tests, or term examinations will result in an immediate zero score and parent notification.
5. Transportation & Safety

Students utilizing school bus transport must maintain discipline while waiting at stops and during transit.

Standing on footboards, extending hands/heads outside windows, or shouting inside buses is strictly prohibited.

Students riding bicycles or motorized vehicles (if legally permitted) must park in designated areas and follow road safety regulations.
